Toys!

I love toys.

Some people would say my love for toys is abnormal. Some would snigger as I play with Lego and change Transformers into their secret identities. Parents stare at me as I play with baby and early childhood toys in the shops. Why is it that bad? I'm sure it can't be a bad thing. I'm just a big kid.

Because of that I went to the start of Target's big toy sale tonight with Topher. Topher's as much a big kid as me so he was the best partner to have on the shopping trip. I didn't know what I was buying. I had no shopping list. I just went in and had a look at the stuff they had on sale. Unfortunately they didn't have a huge bargain bin like last time so I couldn't get $2 knick-knacks to give as presents. It's not that I'm cheap... I just don't want to spend too much money on people I don't particularly like.

However, I did get some cool things. Found the 70th anniversary edition of Monopoly for 20% off. Considering it's just been released, I was very excited! I also picked up a Sonic the Hedgehog PC game for $8 which is fun. I had a Mega Drive (Genesis for other countries) but never had Sonic. I suppose it's a way of rewriting my childhood. But Sonic. One of the classics. And I bought a balloon sculpture kit. Now I can make all those balloon things that you see clowns make. I feel special. Maybe I can make kids come to me instead of run away screaming when I try to give them something.

Or I could dress up as a clown and haunt Topher with a balloon sword...
